Rushcliffe school consults on academy status – public meeting 8 November, Lady Bay

Rushcliffe school has written to parents outlining their plans to apply for academy status. Becoming an academy removes the school from the family of local schools run by the Local Authority and places it under direct control of the Department for Education. This reduces the control that local people and parents have over their school.

If you’d like to get involved with the campaign against academisation of Rushcliffe school come to our meeting on Tuesday 8 November at All Hallows Hall, Lady Bay at 7pm. Join our Rushcliffe Anti Academies Facebook to connect with other parents, pupils and concerned residents who would like to see Rushcliffe remain a good local school not a directly controlled academy.

Download the model letter and send it to Rushcliffe school at their address marked ‘Academy Consultation’, or email it to them at admin.office@rushcliffe.notts.sch.uk. Alternatively you can fill in the web form on their website
