Rumours are circulating that, despite the monstrous steel shell appearing where the old Dunkirk Fire Station was, Nuast will open this September in temporary accommodation. We don’t know where or what facilities it will have to fully educate ‘the engineers of tomorrow’, as the hoarding shouts to the passing traffic.

Those same hoardings also claim to be recruiting for students who will be in Year 10 or Year 12 this coming September but we’ve heard that they’ll only be taking Sixth Formers, in which case, is the emerging building going to be too big?

We’re only asking because, as with all these experimental developments, it’s our money that’s being wisely invested or utterly wasted, depending on your point of view.
